21–Day Intercessor Prayer Challenge

Purpose for the 21–Day Prayer Intercessor Challenge:

Intercessors are a great gift to the body of Christ. The place of spiritual warfare in intercession has become a very popular and debated topic in the body of Christ in the last few years. People are acknowledging that their battle is not against flesh and blood but against evil spiritual powers in heavenly places. The war against satanic forces has moved from the realm of casting out demons to actual warfare in the heavenly realm through prayer, worship, and prophetic acts. The concept of intercessory prayer has moved from praying for individuals and circumstances to direct confrontations with demonic powers in the heavenly places. The purpose of the 21–day prayer intercessor challenge was to help you become sub-consciously aware of praying for the needs of others, especially those who are not able to intercede for themselves because of emotional challenges, mental barriers, physical crisis and spiritual strongholds. The power of prayer is through intercession praying for others. Intercession is the graduate level of prayer. Prayer is the means by which we help point others to faith in Christ. You and I know people who have yet to receive God's gift of grace, and the first step we ought to take is to commit the matter to prayer. Only God, by His Spirit, can reach a neighbor, rescue a prodigal child, and turn a wayward heart toward Him. This 21–Day Challenge will help cultivate biblical and spiritual prayer life into your daily routine. Prayer invites us into a renewed and transformed life, Christ changes us in prayer and our faith is deepened and our heart becomes more aligned with God’s heart.

This challenge allows us to cry out to God, and intercede from our family, friends, loved ones, co–workers and business partners, neighbors and communities, in addition to our church family as well as our country. And if you love this country you will pray for God to revive His Church.

Pray that God would renew our families and our communities. We intercede for others we put or turn our prayers to action. Psalm 33:2 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” So, let us join in prayer that lost family member, loved and co–worker, neighbor so that our nation will return to its roots of honoring God. This 21–Day Prayer Intercessor Challenge is a tool use to help bring deliverance, restoration and salvation to our government through the power and intimacy with God. Because Jesus is the Ultimate Intercessor, and we’re all to become more like Him each day, and intercession is the greatest spiritual weapon to use against the agents of darkness. This prayer challenge will help teach us how to have the heart, purpose, and motives of intercession. The greatest gift to give anyone is the power prayer. Believers or Christians cannot win the battle alone; they all need committed intercessors to lift them up in fervent, specific prayer according to God’s will for their purpose. Intercession prayer releases a great power from God too defeat the attacks of the evil one and the wiles of the devil. Warfare is the result of unresolved enemy conflict. Jesus is our Intercessor, He is at our side and can sympathize with our challenges, struggles and weaknesses, which He makes it possible for us to receive the mercy and help we need. “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:15–16 (NKJV). And He wants us to learn to be intercessors too.

Lastly, the apostle Paul encourages us to intercede for Church members and ministers. Intercessory prayer is not a numbers game. God does not have to wait until 10 or 20 or 100 people pray about a situation in order to intervene. Prayer is not a vote or petition that God has to act on if enough people “sign” it. Our prayers can’t force God to do anything. He can and does act when the time is best, whether one or a million pray about it. Also, intercessory prayer is not something we should do to try to earn points with God, so we can collect when something bad happens to us. Our motivation must be love, in which outgoing, unselfish concern. Prayer is part of our personal relationship with God, and so we must go to Him fervently ourselves, whether or not others are praying for us. Prayer is a vital part of our communication with our loving Father in heaven. In the Bible He tells us how we can pray most effectively, in a way that pleases Him. He fell from his place before God because of his pride and rebellion. He is now the archenemy of God and of the saints. He was in the Garden of Eden and deceived Adam and Eve into disobeying God. He is the accuser of the brethren and goes about to deceive the whole world. The Bible is clear that he is full of wrath in waging war on the saints. “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Revelation 12:17 (NKJV). Our presence as saints on this earth presents a direct threat to his rule of darkness in the lives of men. As a result, it is conceivable and likely that the enemy would seek to launch a counter attack against the saints. The natural enemies of Israel in the Old Testament are types and shadows of the nature of the demonic enemies of the church today.
