15-Day Intercessor Prayer Challenge: Day 1

Prayer is one of the most mysterious aspects of the Christian walk and during this 15 day of standing in the gap for our family members, loved ones, co-workers, business partners and ministry co-laborers, churches and communities, we are going to make the ultimate sacrifice that is to put someone else's need before our own. This Intercessor Prayer Challenge is to help you condition your heart to learn how to love unconditionally like Jesus, did we He made the sacrifice for humanity over 2,000 years ago. He put our needs before His very own life, as a matter of fact, He laid His life down for us all; so that we can have the greatest gift of them all: SALVATION. So, during these 3 hour window of prayer times: 6:00 a.m.,12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. or . 9:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. we will be intereceding for others as God lays them on our heart. We will go before the Throne of Mercy and praying for their deliverance for drugs and alcohol substance abuse; emotional, mental, physical and spiritual healing; stronghold breakthroughs, financial restoration, marriage reconcilation, and cancellation of generational curses and sins; just to name a few things that we should be coming in agreement with various individuals who are in need of God's supernatural miracle and divine intervention. We pray because it is a privilege and God is far above us, completely holy and only comprehensible inasmuch as He reveals Himself to us. Prayer is His invitation to get to know Him. God allows us to approach Him. In fact, He desires it. Prayer is our way of communing with God. Just as friends and family members spend time talking with one another to deepen their relationships, so prayer deepens our relationship with God. Prayer draws us closer to God and is a means by which we praise Him, but it also has an effect in our lives. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." Prayer can lead us to wisdom. 1 Peter 5:6-7 says, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." Prayer can relieve our anxiety. Matthew 7:7-8 says, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened." When we approach God with the desires of our hearts, He answers us.Prayer is both an intimate interaction with God and a corporate event. It brings God glory, gives us insight into who He is, and has a tangible effect on our lives. Prayer is a privilege and a spiritual discipline well worth developing. Let us go into this 15-Intercessor Prayer Challenge with hunger and thirsty for righteousness, and believing that God can do all things but fail, Amen!
