Faith over Fear Challenge Special Message

Bishop Dale C. Bronner - Check Your Temperature! - Reference Scriptures: Revelations 3:14-22 (The Church of Laodicea)

"For I bear him witness that he has a great zeal for you, and those who are in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis. Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you. Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house. Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea" Colossians 4:13-16 (NKJV).

Paul wanted Colossie and Laodiceans to share the letters that he had written to each body of believers. “ I can assure you that he prays hard for you and also for the believers in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Luke, the beloved doctor, sends his greetings, and so does Demas. Please give my greetings to our brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house. After you have read this letter, pass it on to the church at Laodicea so they can read it, too. And you should read the letter I wrote to them.” Paul sharing the message to the church at Colossae regarding the vacillating and wavering faith of the Laodiceans. Paul was stressing to the lukewarm group of people why need to turn from their indifferences and learn how to be diligent in the cause. Jesus is telling us today that we can longer be Christlikeish, Christianish and faithfulish. We must be hot or cold. There is a holy infared red coming from Heaven taking your temperature, are you hot or cold. Are you indeed a Christian or do you just have antibodies of it? Are you hot with the zeal and passion to do the work of the Lord? Are you on fire for spreading the Word of God? Are you lukewarm, one day you are a believer and the next day you are doubting the power and authority of the Lord? Lukewarm is a comfort zone and when you are lukewarm you think everything is okay. Lukewarm is that thing has lost its zeal, passion and flavor. Lukewarm you are best of the worst, and you are worst in the present of the best. Lukewarm people dont help anyone, they're always self-indulged with their personal desires and needs. Lukewarm believers are too lazy to read the Word of God. You have to know when to be Hierapolis individuals (warm and passionate for the cause in your faith) or to be Laodicea individual (cold and wavering in your faith).
