Spiritual DETOX = Causes Us to Be Cautious: The first thing to do before beginning any spiritual detox or detoxification process is to start with repentance. It is necessary for us to cleanse our body, mind and spirit from the old nature behavior, conduct and ways. We must begin by repenting of the particular thought, emotion, or wrong choice of whatever is being manifest. Submit or give ownership of it to the Lord. Ask the Lord's help to align with His thoughts, His emotions, His freedom to choose the right way. Repentance is the way provided for us to become free from our sins and receive forgiveness for them. Sins slow our spiritual progression and can even stop it. Repentance makes it possible for us to grow and develop spiritually again. The privilege of repenting is made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Repentance helps us have a successful spiritual detox because it allows us to resist the devil, mourn for our sin, and humbly draw near to God in submission, our Father is always faithful to forgive and cleanse us. Confession and repentance are like a spiritual shower that washes away the filth of sin so we can be clean and renewed. “When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts? Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil”  Isaiah 1:12-16 (NKJV).

Spiritual DETOX = Causes Us to Be Cautious: Paul says it like this that the "spirit is willing but the flesh is not" this is why we are in constant need of spiritual purging (detoxification) of our corrupt deeds, evil thoughts and wicked interactions or reactions with others. Healing at the soul level is intricate and layered, deepening as we strive to connect with God and trust more profoundly. When our detoxification system is overwhelmed, is overloaded, that’s when we start getting symptoms and get sick, but it may take years of accumulated stress and toxins to get to that point. The same is true in the spiritually, when our spirit man becomes overtaken with sin or overwhelmed by the cares of this life, we are in need of a spiritual detoxification. Every time you leave our spiritual life and compromise to living by the world's corruptible standards and expectations, our spirit man will continue to be tossed to and fro under the world's system. Paul told the Corinthians to cleanse themselves from “everything that can defile our body or spirit” according to 2 Corinthians 7, this type of cleansing is done by confessing and turning away from the sins that pollute or soil us. Paul also challenged believers to “work toward complete holiness” because God is holy and just.  Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Open your hearts to us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have cheated no one. I do not say this to condemn; for I have said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together” 2 Corinthians 7:1  (NKJV).
