Day 6 – How to Find Hope In Purpose – Part Two?

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” Hebrews 6:11-12 (NKJV).

God wants you to find answers to these questions through your walk of faith and as your relationship with him grows. Finding and pursuing your purpose is a lifelong journey. Continue to place your trust in God, seek after his will for your life with all your heart, and allow his divine wisdom to guide you as you move forward. Pursuing your purpose requires faith in God. This means knowing his promises that you can appropriate them for your life and the situations you face. You can never fulfil your God-given purpose in your own strength or based only on your natural gifts and abilities. To achieve God's purpose, you need to stay connected to him. This connection comes through your fellowship with him. God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice. You can only experience true relationship based on your trust in your Heavenly Father. Biblical hope not only desires something good for the future, but it also expects it to happen. And it not only expects it to happen, yet it is also confident that it will happen. Hope is a portion or part of faith, in which overlaps the realities of one’s purpose and future. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” I Corinthians 15:57-58 (NKJV).

There is a moral certainty that the good we expect, and desire will be done. Throughout your purpose journey, there will be resistance. He is the one who has the plan, and he knows exactly how you can achieve his purpose. God has a plan for our lives. It does not matter what season we are in, that is, whether we are young or old. However, many times there are roadblocks to our purpose, but we should never give up. We must trust God and believe that where there is his purpose, he also provides. We can’t blame God for bumps in the road of life. What we can do is count on Him to help us through those rough places. With God’s perspective, we can find hope and purpose when life hurts. For the devil takes no pleasure in your pursuing and achieving your God-given purpose. So, your commitment to God's plan for your life must be under-girded by your faith in him. Stand firm when you face adversity, and don't lose your confidence. Is this just confidence in yourself? No, it is confidence in God, who choose you for a specific purpose, and who empowered you through the Holy Spirit to achieve it. “The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” Colossians 1:26-27(NKJV).

Currently ‘hope’ is one of the most popular words in the theological world. Everywhere the thought is in the air. Numerous books and articles have appeared on the subject. Two features are typical of this trend, however. One is the scarcity, indeed almost complete lack, of biblical studies. The biblical teaching is all but totally ignored. The other is that ‘hope’ is generally understood in a very broad sense, virtually equivalent to ‘eschatology’. God's plan for our lives is good, but we will face challenges as we walk out his purpose. It is important to understand that we cannot walk out God's purpose for our lives in our strength. You explained that you have been trying to walk in God's purpose for your life, but your efforts appear to be hopeless. You can only fulfill your God-given purpose to be dependent on him. Hope keeps us going. Purpose is why we get up in the morning. We need both stay sane and alive. We need both to live our best lives. It’s time for you to look away from the circumstances that confront us, look to Christ, look to the promises, and hold fast to them. Without hope, life loses its meaning and in death there is no hope. The righteous who trust or put their hope in God will be helped, and they will not be confounded, put to shame, or disappointed. Hope comes from the promises of God rooted in the work of Christ. “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” Hebrews 10:22-23 (NKJV).

Therefore, biblical hope is a reality and not a feeling. Biblical hope carries no doubt. Biblical hope is a sure foundation upon which we base our lives, believing that God always keeps His promises. Hope or confident assurance can be ours when we trust the words, “He who believes on Me has everlasting life”. Accepting that gift of eternal life means our hope is no longer filled with doubt but, rather, has at its sure foundation the whole of God’s Word, the entirety of God’s character, and the finished work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Identifying, acknowledging, and honoring your true purpose in life is perhaps the most important action successful people take. Hope is a characteristic of man. It belongs to his very nature; however, it characterizes the living. We can hide them in our hearts and be assured that God’s loving promises are our hope. While man is alive, he can hope You were born with an inner guidance that tells you when you are on or off course by the amount of joy you are experiencing. The things that bring you the greatest joy are in alignment with your purpose and will get you to where you want to go. They take the time to understand what they’re here to do, and then they pursue that with passion and enthusiasm. After pinpointing the things that could be holding you back from finding your purpose, it’s time to start uncovering what it is you were truly meant to do with your life. “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe” 1 Timothy 4:10 (NKJV).
