God Is Preparing You for a New Season -Day 6:

God Is Preparing You for a New Season:

There are times we may feel restless, not in a way that brings fear in our hearts. But in such a way that we know something good or new is about to happen. If there is an internal shift in you right now, please ask God for revelation so that you can know whether he is trying to lead you into something new. You are a beloved child of God, and we have a powerful intercessor, Jesus ready to come alongside us and cover us when those attacks come about. You may have a burden in your heart about the new season or calling upon your life. Do not let the Enemy steal what God has for you, for it is not his for the taking. There will be different seasons and times in your life and, most notably, in your Christian walk. You need to live knowing that God wants you to be willing and ready to walk in each season that he has prepared you for. You must fight the good fight of faith to the bitter end, don't allow or let the Enemy have a foothold. You cannot outwit or out talk the devil, instead submit to God, so that He can give you the strength to resist his attacks and ploys. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” James 4:7-8 (NKJV).

This new season will require you to go through a year of preparation for your new role, for God is getting you ready for something new. Because we don’t always understand God’s ways, at times we may think we are ready for anything. Sometimes a bit of fresh air can do us a lot of good: physically, mentally and spiritually. Remember that God created the nature around us to be used and enjoyed. It’s also an expression of Himself, a sign of His handiwork. Take time to get outside or sit at a window if you can’t get out, and take in all of God’s creation. You might make a mental note of all the beauty you see or all the ways God’s character is evident in the creation around you. It doesn't matter about your earthly position or title, He’s called you to advocate for His Kingdom and serve His people, God works to equip the called. What is required of us is not only our obedience but your faith and trust in Him along the journey. We have to believe that God knows what He is doing while we go through the preparation process. Esther’s confidence grew during the time she spent in preparation. She would have felt far more afraid going into the king’s presence if she hadn’t passed through the process of royal preparation. God’s timing is a mystery. “I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end” Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 (NKJV).

Never forget that just as warmth comes peeking its way through on winter days to remind us of spring ahead, so do our urges or desires of something new seasonally for our own lives. It's time to seek the Lord and inquire of Him if He is getting you set up for a new season and what that may look like before the testing begins. Every day, every year, every new season is a reset from the last. That doesn’t mean ignoring trials and turmoil around you, but keeping your attention on God’s promises for His children, on His faithfulness, provision, comfort, peace, unfailing love and eternal life. Your positive outlook and trust in God may rub off on people around you. You should trust His leading and hand and believe that what He has planned will truly be for His glory and your benefit. For all things will work according to God's perfect will, regardless of the circumstance or trial. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” Romans 8:28-30(NKJV).
