God Is Preparing You for a New Season -Day 7:

God Is Preparing You for a New Season:

You’re moving into a new spiritual season, this is a season where God is doing a deep work in His people to understand His love, it’s not just you are going through this at the moment. Seasons can take time to merge into one another, and this is different for everyone. Seasons are time frames that are allotted for certain things to happen: each season has its own characteristic activities and time allocated to it. In nature, seasons have one purpose: to bring about maturity and fruitfulness. Each season is needed to obtain the full harvest. In our spiritual lives’ seasons are designed with the purpose of greater maturity and fruitfulness in our spiritual lives. God is always in the business of molding us, maturing us and preparing us for the next stage of our life. We spend a lot of time experiencing “in-between” seasons, where we are transitioning form one season of life into another. But most of us are not equipped to understand that the in-between is often a season of preparation. Consequently, life has its own phases of happiness, sadness, ups and downs. Just like each season changes and gives way to the new season with hope we should also believe that our life will change, and nothing is stagnant in life. “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works” Hebrews 10:23-24 (NKJV).

Seasons can affect our lives personally, and we can each be going through a different season, but seasons can also affect the body of Christ corporately. God could be doing a major purifying work, or it could be a season of new beginnings, or the enemy could be really attacking people in a certain area. It’s important to be in regular fellowship with other Christians so that we can get a sense of what God is doing and not be isolated and think that it’s just our problem. In this season of preparation your character is developed, intimacy with God is enhanced, certain hindrances are burnt out of your life and divine timing is at work. Seasons of preparation can enter many times in your life, as we often go through many transitions, where we need to move from one season to another. As a season comes and goes, we prepare for it in a certain way. When God wants something for you, he will often put an unstoppable burden on your heart to pursue that blessing with a supernatural passion that comes not from you but from him. Sometimes these seasons are new and exciting, like a new year, so we plan for hope and for joy and all that comes with the fresh beginning. Christ is our only hope of new life! And He scarified His very life for us to have that new life in Him. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (NKJV).

Never forget that life is like the seasons, always changing and unpredictable. We have summer, spring, winter, autumn, seasons some of which get us sunshine, rain, and cold winters too. A biblical burden to seek the will of God is an intense blessing. It comes with pain, but it always ends with pleasure. Masses of believers have stepped out with great faith, pursuing dreams of epic proportions. Yet soon after, they were met with great resistance and disappointments. This is a time for God to prepare you and mold you for the next season, but you can easily get discouraged and lose heart if you don’t understand the season, you are in. Whether we know it or not, God is constantly moving and shifting us toward Him, and the season to which He leads us is something to prepare and wait in expectation for, too. In some seasons you will need training, coaching, and skills to help equip you for your new season through prayer. You will find yourself in a place where God is adjusting aspects of your life, calling you to totally submit certain areas of your life, as You completely put all your faith and trust in Him. Sometimes there are seasons that take us by surprise, like the moment you get off the phone from a life-changing call. This newness of life and fresh beginnings isn’t anything we can muster up on our own.“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” Lamentations 3:22-24 (NKJV).
