You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made – Part 2: Think about it, there’s seven billion people on the planet, but there is no one else with your finger print, or with your retina scan. You are unique. You are an original design. Diamonds are expensive because they are rare, but you’re not rare. You’re the only one that exists or will ever exist. That makes you priceless. God is constantly aware of our problems and needs. When we accept Jesus for who He is, we become entirely new creatures. We’ve gained a brand new identity as well as gifts and callings. We become children of the Father. Problem is many us never really take the time to dive in and discover all that we now are in Christ. So we are sharing some verses with you to remind you who you are in Christ. Verse lists like this one are great to keep on your phone and laptop at all times to remind yourself who you are and to share with others who find themselves smack dab in the middle of an identity crisis. Fortunately, God made a way for us to repent and turn to Him by sending His very own Son to make the way. When you do finally realize that without God you are unable to make the most of yourself, that’s when things begin to change. The clay cannot mold itself no matter how hard it tries. However, God, the Potter, cannot only mold His clay but He also knows what His original design of you was. He is both a Potter and an Architect with a Master Plan. “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make” Jeremiah 18:2-4 (NKJV).

If God didn’t care about us, then He wouldn’t devote care and attention to setting us apart from one another. His lack of care would be obvious in the way that we would all look, sound, and act the same. We would simply be another person who has entered this world. We’d live the same life that others have lived and enter the grave the same way. However, we have been created to do great works for the Kigndom of God, and we matter to our Heavenly Father, the special care He has for us is reflected in our creative differences. It’s reflected in the way that our Creator fashions each individual fearfully, with respect, and wonderfully, in a way that is set apart from others. Because all humanity is fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord, He owns all humanity as well as the rest of the world He created, governs, and sustains. We all have weaknesses that sometimes make us feel like we are of no use. But God’s grace is sufficient to cover our weaknesses. More than that, God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses. Weaknesses keep me humble and leaning on God’s strength which is much more sufficient than my own. Sometimes in this fallen world, God foresaw even those defects and uses them for good when we look to Him. Even our weaknesses are fearfully and wonderfully made.“Not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:9-10 (NKJV).

In the same way, we are only wonderful because God’s wonderfulness makes me wonderful. Every single person is a masterpiece of God. Because all humanity is fearfully and wonderfully made, all life is sacred. Because all humanity is fearfully and wonderfully made, humanity is the pinnacle of creation created to resemble God and to fill the earth through procreation with fellow image-bearers of God. Because all humanity is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, all humanity should be treated with dignity and respect. God crafted humans in a way that reflects aspects of Him. We are His image-bearers.This does not mean we are identical to the Creator, but rather that we can serve as a representative of Him. The unique and thoughtful way that He crafted our appearance, personality, and gifts is a reflection of His love toward us. After all, it’s passion that motivates artists to create, to begin with. This love propels an artist to devote time, skill, and intention to perfecting his or her piece of artwork. Our Creator shaped us in such a way that aligns with the plan He has for us, which involves glorifying Him and extending His Kingdom. We are here to prepare this world for Christ’s second coming. We are here to spread the Good News of the Gospel—and this is why He has gifted us with a wide range of gifts and talents. If we were carbon copies of one another, then this would hinder people from being reached in various ways. Instead, your unique design is intentional and necessary so that you can fulfill your role in His Body.“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” Colossians 1:15-16 (NKJV).
